The NMSU Journalism department produces an alumni magazine, The Scoop, every year. It is entirely created by students taking one of the upper division independent study courses. The 2015-2016 school year was the 50th Anniversary of the NMSU Journalism Department and The Scoop had a special edition in honor of this. I was responsible for the two articles in the, “The Sixties and Seventies” section as well as the layout and page design of the entire magazine.
The Round Up is NMSUs longest standing publication. I worked as a staff writer for during my first semester at NMSU. For The Round Up‘s Volume 114 Issue Number 11, I wrote an article about what new voters needed to know before heading to the polls for the 2012 Presidential Election. It appeared on the front page.
